**Unique refreshing storyteling from an anime, but could have had less characters** Very cool and far removed from the trope heavy shonen anime. Theme music is very good too. However what makes it different is what holds it back. In this show characters are killed off very quickly, which to showcase how little each person contributed to history it makes sense. However I have the issue where I don't have enough time to fully learn about a character and get invested before they die. The ending character is the biggest culprit, I couldn't care less about him and it made the ending very underwhelming. Ignoring him though, very interesting commentary on religion, society, and realistic historical progress.
