Synopsis
Alison is determined to host the perfect Thanksgiving dinner for her unpredictable family. But as traditions collide and tensions rise, the day quickly spirals into chaos. Had the pleasure of watching “The Family Recipe” at the Big Apple Film Festival. It was a nostalgic family film, dealing with family gatherings, growing up and coming to terms with change. Had a very 90’s film to the storytelling. Reminder of light hearted comedy’s that I watched growing up. The cast did a good job playing off each other and were very in sync with one another, felt like watching a family gathering rather than watching a film. Had a lot of funny moments that anyone who has been to a family gathering can connect with. It was very enjoyable and a film that we need more of.
